The 10th Crediton Food & Drink Festival, 9 & 10 June

The ever popular – and free – Food & Drink Festival is back for its eighth year taking place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June 2016 in Crediton Town Square. And as this is our 10th Anniversary it will be bigger and better than ever. On the Saturday we will be welcoming a range of local chefs and food producers to run cookery demonstrations, including Mary Quicke of Quicke’s Traditional showing us how they make their world famous cheeses, and Ruth of Ruth’s Real Food showing us how to reduce our food waste.

There will be a wide range of stalls showcasing food and drink from local producers. These food and drink stalls will line Market Street as well as the Town Square with a chance to buy and eat on the spot or take home, with local producers featured in the Square and street food and crafts in Market Street.

Over the weekend ,alongside the food and drink there will be entertainment from the fabulous Sandord Mummers and The Turning Tides Project, amongst others. The Festival also features a draw on both Saturday and Sunday with prizes being hampers of produce from the various stalls represented at the event. The Festival opens again for the evening with live music to listen and dance to in the marquee from the energetic Yella Bellies. Together with a chance to sample some locally brewed beers, ciders and non-alcoholic drinks, there will be over a dozen tasty food stalls and lots of seating and tables to make this a sociable and fun evening.

On Sunday 10th the Festival continues with the Big Sunday Lunch – a great chance to buy and/or bring food to share and to catch up with friends whilst listening to the wonderful Moon Jazz House Band.

Crediton Food & Drink Festival is generously supported by Crediton Arts Centre, Ashgrove Kitchens, Crediton Dairy and Claremont Marquees. There is free entry.
