Kernow Karate Classes in Tedburn St Mary
Karate Classes are held once a week at the Tedburn St Mary Village Hall. People of all ages, fitness and ability will be welcome so come along and give it a go, if you don’t like it the only thing it will have cost you is an hour of your time as the first class is free.
Kernow Karate, is an established Club around Exeter (locally the Club in Exminster has been running for the last 10 years) and has been teaching at the Village hall for 3 years. We aim to teach Karate and the discipline, respect, fitness and skills that go with Karate, at an affordable price. We teach Nicholas Walkers (6th Dan) Kernow Karate, a modern freestyle Karate. With clubs in Scotland, Essex, Cornwall and Exeter. The syllabus has traditional elements to it such as Kata and Kumite (sparring) but also incorporates other systems such as Boxing punches as we find they are very effective! Fitness, Self Defence and the Science behind the Art are all incorporated into the Syllabus.
Lessons are held every Wednesday (except when the Pantomime is on and two weeks over Christmas each year), juniors class is from 6pm to 7pm and the adults is from 7pm to 8pm; parents can sit and watch or join in if they wish.
Costs
Classes will be £5 per person per lesson plus an additional £5 for grading once a month or £20 per calendar month (payable on the 1st Wednesday each month).
There is an annual licence fee of £20 which I will require on the 2nd lesson then once a year there after.
The suits (jacket, trousers, badge and white belt) are £25 for Juniors and £30 for Adults). You do not need to buy suits if you don’t wish to until the first belt grading.
We look forward to welcoming you to an enjoyable time learning new skills.
